Bowie Friends Fan Club
This week was the passing of one of the most unique and legendary musicians David Bowie, and so we pay tribute to the artist by showing you some of our past Bowie memorabilia.
On Monday the 11th January 2016, musician and actor David Bowie sadly passed away. This news came just 3 days after the release of his latest album, ‘Black Star,’ and his 69th birthday.
Here at PromoVideo we are very upset because Bowie was someone who we worked with from the beginning of Event!

Back in 1980, David Bowie and Event created the official Bowie’s Friends fan club. The fan club magazine only lasted 2 editions but inside the magazine were black and white photos approved by David and up-to-date news. Plus, fans could buy merchandise like t-shirts and badges.

The strange thing was that we often had fans who thought David lived in our office in St. Johns Wood, who camped outside looking for David. We still have copies of Bowie’s Friends in a treasured box in our office.
We also found the film poster for Labyrinth, a film David stared in back in 1986.
